the way they look I thought they're about that age
Huh???
These kids have smaller proportions than my 6-year old niece. I can't imagine how you'd think they weren't grade schoolers.

Bah, there's some pretty fucked up kids out there. really depends on various factors, some similars things may happen, but these stories need you to brace yourself thinking like this "well, let's suppose these characters have this mentality lets see what the author cooks". But if it's not a think you can do to this series in particular better thing is to move on. i dm you when it ends:kek:
Honestly never mind the age thing. It hurts my suspension of disbelief but my real issue is that when I started following this I assumed it was a serious look at abuse and it's impacts and not a soap opera. I don't personally like soap operas.

Yeah, this comic is trying too hard with the edge lately. It went off the deep end.

I can't even take this shit seriously anymore to be honest. These are like kindergarteners. This is ridiculous.
Personally I think author jumped the shark a bit with the yandere romance drama of the black haired girl. But other than that I think it's still solid so far.

Though I would have preferred if black hair wasn't fucked up either and was just trying her best to help her friend out of the goodness of her heart rather than out of selfishness.
It would have added another layer of complexity to her character where she sees her in need and tries to do the right thing but struggles to know if that was the right thing to do at all. We do see her suffering from the consequences and guilt of what "the right thing" actually is in the flashback, however all of that becomes wasted when the root of her actions isn't "She's being abused and needs help" but the much shallower "Why is she doing anything with someone other than me."

Great quality once again! Was pleasantly surprised with this back to back update!

The plot has definitely gone off the deep end, but funnily enough it has made it less painful to read since it has become less "realistic". Just sitting back and enjoying where this trainwreck is going. I hope they all can get some proper help now that Mary has finally cracked and isn't willing to put up with everything anymore. I also wished Riko didn't end up being a yandere as well, but sigh what can ya do.

New chapter releasing the same day as another toxic yuri but this manga makes Destroy It All and Love Me In Hell seem kinda wholesome in comparison.
I really didn't think about this but I definitely agree

I might have to go back and re-read this because I've kinda lost track of what is even going on lol.

Thanks for the translation!

I'm glad people here had childhoods good enough for them to think shit like this doesn't happen until you hit your teen (14+) years. Is the author leaning a bit too hard for effect? Sure, but this kind of spiraling abusive cycles are way, waaaaay more common among children as young as 9 than people are comfortably admitting.

Like I said in the previous chapter, thanks again to the group for this fantastic work, they redraw everything and overall do everything with a lot of care and patience, even though they do a lot of series for the amount of available hands they have. Show them extra love so they don't need to care anymore about the sniper.
As for the chapter itself, finally we got to read how they reached the starting point. Regarding Colin, she is acting her age considering she had to quickly grow up to deal with the abuse she was suffering at home, her being that way shows how badly influenced was to mature that fast. She can't see any way to escape and so acts the way her father taught to, it's not like she wants to murder them and can't be dismissed as a yandere. She yearns for someone that can comfort herself and make her forget her hellish home, even if only for some hours, that she's unable to leave. She's only trying to survive the only way she knows.

Riko uronically did nothing wrong back then. Shouldnt keep a secret that enables your friend to get hurt.
If only the adults in their life did more to help Colin back then...

they aren't 13??? With how they're acting from the very start and the way they look I thought they're about that age

Also it definitely isn't uncommon for people (especially teens) with a fucked up upbringing act insanely childish in heightened situations like this (I'd know, I used to be like this and probably still am), and I can totally see actual people acting like the three (Colin: victim/survivor of incest & pedophilia, groomed to think certain things are ok to do even when other people don't think it is; Mary: neglected by parent and desperately tries to seek out attention and love from anyone who's willing to care about them, even just a bit; Riko: parentified child who wants to help everyone [I'm not as familiar with her character so can't say much, but parentified children usually have a hard time regulating emotions]), so maybe I'm just trying to justify why they're acting this way but I think it's definitely in the realm of possibility
Yeah would make sense if it was closer to 15 b/c i imagine an elementary school would never be able to 'sneak out' for that long without a parent knowing esp a controlling/abusive one, but i think the artist prolly just wanted to draw 'lolis' :p)

Dude be forreal. I'm not talking about the abuse I'm talking about the fact that children simply don't act this way. I'd buy this level of interpersonal melodrama if they were like 13.

Okay. https://edition.cnn.com/2020/07/17/australia/australia-queensland-rape-boy-intl-hnk/index.html

That's just something I found at random, there's many-many more cases that are equally bad or worse. Just because the kids around you behave normally doesn't mean it goes for everyone.

I know a woman whose kid legit asked "hey mom, when you die will everything you own become mine?" you say "normal curiosity", but I was creeped out because when I was growing up, I never even entertained the thought. She was around five at the time.

I see many cases today when people, especially modern-day adults, don't give kids enough credits. These little gremlins developed at a rapid pace, and I see many parents stifle that growth by being immature themselves imo.

Then there are people like Nick Freitas that taught his kids to shoot at a young age. The kids are what you make of them, they are sponges, if you decide to teach your 5y/o to mechanically repair a car, he just might grow to be a great mechanic one day.

This is crazy im breezing through it. out of shock in hopes SOMEONE gets saved

Man, finally got an answer to what happened when told to a teacher / police. Annnnnnd nothing happened! I am often baffled by our judicial system and this manga doesn't fail to deliver.

You might want to start reading the news, you'd be surprised... Or better not. Sleep is important and you wouldn't want to lose it over stuff.
"our judicial system" ?
The Japanese judicial system? Also. This is fiction.
The cops would have done welfare checks and determined she wasn't going to her new school. And Grandma or a truancy officer would have reported the 8 year old girl missing. Then the first place they'd check is the fathers house.

Haha, yeah... like when an elderly woman came to the police station in Japan to confess the murder of her husband just to be turned away. Several weeks later her neighbors reported bad smell coming from the apartment which finally forced the police to investigate and arrest her.

Unfortunately, after scoring the web, I couldn't find this article anywhere. It was about 10+ years ago and left an impression on me. I guess it will be one of these "trust me bro" moment.

Anyhow, I know it's fiction. However, while exceedingly rare (unless it's a certain english-speaking country that's been all the rage on the news recently), I've read about cases of police neglect around the globe, prompting me to make a comment. And while this is unrelated, the manga brings a topic with all the right pieces for one heck of a discussion. Who knows, maybe it was even inspired by real life events?

In conclusion, this is a great story imo. I want to see how it ends. Also, I have stumbled on "Kōbe renzoku jidō sasshō jiken" (not for the faint of heart) during my search and am now a believer that yeah... had Mary agreed, Colin would have no qualms about burying Rico. Kids are scary, yo.

How about you read what I said again because I never said that children don't commit crimes.
