Thinking about it a bit more, if her parents (or grandparents, her last memory was of her grandfather smiling at her after all) onesidedly decide about that completely without talking about this with her, those would be some shitty parents in my opinion. I mean, it was not a situation where the person on life support was basically a vegetable, braindead in a coma, she was conscious the entire time (aside from sleeping of course) as far as we know and still had enough strength in her to properly communicate with her surroundings. Would it hurt the parents to consult with their daughter about that? Would it be a painful discussion? Sure, but definitely less painful than having their daughter die.So unless this is some really convoluted way of hinting at someone intentionally unplugging her from life support,
