The author(s) is similarly useful information as the scanlation group, especially for people who are familiar with many mangaka, or are looking for manga of a particular style.

*Edit: Regarding TMI on the front page, I do kind of agree; info like author and scanlation group might be better off appearing in a tooltip on hover. For the follows page, however, I think author is quite important to include; moreso than the uploader for sure.

A no from me, at least on the front page. Trying to dump this kind of information only makes the page look more cluttered, it's not like you going to check the author of every single title. And if you need to do so, going to that manga should be sufficient.

Same goes for the groups in my opinion, but at least it helps differentiate when multiple groups doing the same manga, which is not the case for the authors.

If you really know many mangaka by their name, it should be equally easy to recognize their artstyle in a 100×150 pixels thumbnail. 😤

I personally think making the author's name to be something like Scanlator's group page instead of going to a search function would be more important, but at last that seems like a lot of change to do
