i hope Mangadex doesn't remove your chapters. we've seen it before with people releasing chapters a group decided not to work on, or at least release, in months, only to suddenly reappear and maybe half a day later, the group that worked on their good release suddenly had their chapter removed. for as much as i love and support mangadex, this is one behaviour i never understood.

As far as I'm aware, mangadex doesn't remove chapters unless they're breaking one of their rules.
You got an example of that?

The 3 months window unspoken rule is good, as some scanlators may feel discouraged to continue translating a series if they got sniped just 1 month in. Even worse if the sniper doesn't have the quality and continuity.
But GDS has been behaving like a corpo, translating many series at once, and then "abandoning" some until a new translator uploads one new chapter, then re-sniped the new guy with 3 chapters at once.

The mom is so funny. I hope she stays around in the future.

A group getting a monopoly on a series is out of courtesy, not because it’s the actual rule. This is why competition should exist, because it puts a stop to shenanigans like this and in the end the readers benefit from the higher quality and timely releases.

If there’s a documented case of MangaDex staff deleting a competing scanlation group’s chapters to preserve a rule that isn’t actually a rule, I’d like to see it. If there is then this “anti-sniping” culture should die.

Any sniped on GDS is a good snipe. 👍🏽

They hold so many good series, but they also neglect it until someone snipe it and they sniped it back with mass release. That just awful and it seems they upload the chapter just to assert dominance.
