As someone who used to PR for GDS, I respect the snipe. All the criticism thrown their way is completely valid and I can confirm they stockpile chapters. Communication within the GDS staff is a mess and people will take weeks, if not months, to do their part in scanlating a chapter. There is no passion behind their scanlation, only an interest in making money and picking up as many series as possible to monopolize them. It’s part of the reason I left: I was asked to do work on chapters that wouldn’t see the light of day until like 5 months after I worked on them and no one in the staff seemed to have an issue with that kind of practice.
