If they cant recognize hes the new fleet commander whos only been on the job no more than a month, then they're the lost cause. (remember, it seems theres been a long line of fleet commanders getting assassinated, so you cant say they dont know and blame him for everything happening on the planet like morons). MC should be holding his head high.

Good lord, you can't really read what's between lines are you?

I advice you to stop reading further, cuz the MC here hates acting all high and mighty and is not respect-hungry like you preferred, and moments where he would still humbles himself and let others badmouth him even after wrecking a fleet of enemies happens a lot.

@Haremmony This thing is, they are the same people. Dont you recall them insulting him in previous chapters ? Blaming the mess soley on him ? Iron Buddha girl even was having a chuckle about it when she mocking him about it (friend mocking a friend thing). It was good enough, the MC showed up as the fleet captain, Took down down the tyrant ruler of the planet, restored order, then moved onto his next mission.. Thats all he had to do. He doesnt need to get down and prostrate saying its all his fault and hes fixed it.. It was NEVER HIS FAULT. Thats what got me fucking pissed. Just needed to hold his head up high, not low.

@Velsy, It's kinda unbelievable how hard it is for you to accept that he is simply being humble.

No, they're not the same person. Can't you read? Heck, the worst the Kangjin's population had did to the MC is just complaining that it sounds like the Defying Dragon King is just as cruel as their current dictator at the time, and lament that it could means the Defying Dragon King won't care for the planet's dictatorship problem because the rumors said he's like a dictator himself.

Also, acting high and mighty on that occasion is just bad taste. Kangjin's population has been suffering thanks to a selfish and arrogant leader. Just because the MC managed to bring an end to the source of their suffering, a lot of the population would surely still suspect that the MC's leadership wouldn't be much better. Lowering your head to appease them is the BEST COURSE of action, PERIOD.
