Considering that fanfiction is like 80% non-het, this is hardly surprising. My ballpark estimate using the advanced search puts it around 15-20% though. For BL manga/mahua, with translations into English, there are just shy of 9k titles, whereas non-BL titles >>10k (unfortunately the search results stop at 10k, and my estimate is that it returned around 20% of the total). Could be you've just been lucky or there's a sooper-seekrit conspiracy on the backend to spread the love

10k results, organized alphabetically, stopped in the mid-Es. That's approximately one fifth (20%) of the way through the alphabet. I could be wildly wrong though since that estimate assumed an equal distribution of starting letters.

I should probably note that my filter is set to safe-to-ero, so the results could very well skew if you have a, er, different setting 😁
