Is there a Forum User Ignore FAQ?

Can't really think of how this question would fit into the other sections. And I'm not seeing this type of question in my search. Not really a tutorial in the general sense. But is there a thread/page/FAQ that lists what ignoring another user on the Forum actually does/prevents? Trying to give me less headaches, but if ignoring/blocking someone somehow causes more drama, that's more headaches. And I don't think I should experiment to figure this out either.

So, if I ignore someone do they know I've ignored them?
I assume I don't get notifications, that they've replied to me, but what else happens?

I've got really general questions about how this works.

I've ignored you just now. The results on my side are: this thread is hidden in the forums, your post/s are removed and a small "show ignored content" button appeared that unhides them.
So, did you get a notification that I ignored you?

@solstice258 No notifications of the ignore. But I am seeing your reply. (I forgot to set the Watch Flag, sadly)

@NotGary Federal Body Inspectors will be dispatched to your location to inspect your body. Please Wave Hello as they approach with sandwiches.

Knowledge is power! But yes, now you have your own answer, besides that you wouldn't be able to comment or see a post created by an user that's ignoring you, much less sending a DM. Pretty much like everywhere, I don't know if in cases of DM it says that the message couldn't be delivered, you're not allowed to contact that user or something along these lines. Same for reactions.

Thanks, good to know.

I've never used the feature before, so I was unsure what actually happens.
