Bowing down to DMCA and removing more than half a million chapters from various manga is terrible. Mangadex is cooked. I suppose I'll have to look for other alternatives like everyone else.
I have like 3k subscription, now I barely get any daily update lol, now I have to go through the pain of rebuilding my library somewhere else

Some people act as if Mangadex will be fine, but the reality is that slowly the site will bleed groups and users

After all why use Mangadex when not only so much content was lost but there might be another DMCA? Easier to just completely jump ship altogether then wait for the next hit

You didn't even know Asura "scans" Korean manhwas. I legit starting you're just shit-stirring. Replying for the sake of replying.
Oh, since when you read minds? Are you a X-Men?

I did know Asura scans, I just never cared about them cause I don't read anything they translate, so sometimes they completely slip my mind since to me they don't matter, after all why would I remember a group that is completely meaningless to me? But I do know them because I've seem people talk about them multiple times in discussion of other series, they have a pretty well-known reputation after all.

Maybe, just maybe, people keep certain information at the back of their head cause it's just not relevant for them 99.9% of the time.

Mangadex is dead. There's no coming back from this. As a scanlator or reader, why would I put my time and effort into a place where it can all just evaporate without any warning? It's absolutely pointless. MD was the best, and it was great while it lasted, but it is absolutely, unequivocally over now. RIP mangadex. Its corpse may shuffle on but the party is over

that is literally the case for any site hosting this kind of stuff.

but unlike mangadex, most of them go dark. So no...not dead and not vanishing.

I will say this tho. There were a LOT of Tapas and Tappytoons comics being posted on here in English, when those comics have genuine official chapters in English on the official sites and apps.

in fact, they might have been uploading the actual english "raws". 😅

So Im glad we're fixing this problem now, rather than allowing people to post the stuff they were posting.

Stupid people will be the death of all the rest of us if we dont give them the boot first. Thats all thats happening.

Honestly the site feel like it's not even worth visiting anymore. I get more daily updates from webtoon official than I get weekly here now
Then feel free to leave dude.

All yall can either follow the rules or go elsewhere. But either way, you dont need to be here whining and crying all day.

The mods did what they had to do to comply with the law.

Stuff like this is why I save the translations I've enjoyed to a 50tb NAS, if s--t ever hits the fan and electricity isn't easily available, I can clean out a Staples or something for printer ink as well as paper if necessary. Just fire up the genny and get to printing. Good scans will live on, even if I have to start cooking biodiesel I will never suffer garbage "official" translations, of course I do buy the decent official translations though.

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same site but lightnovelreader got shut down recently

Edit: I meant lightnovelworld

Thanks, I'll have a look
That's the secret to not lose your mind when an aggregator site is taken down or bleeds out, you export your titles to anilist or mal and hope the new hotness has an import title feature. And also you keep a hard copy of your most cherished works, fortunately local storage is very cheap nowadays.

It's sad when an aggregator is lost, specially if you interacted with people there. But let's be real, all sites of this nature have a big probability of being bliped out of existence since it's piracy. I had to migrate from various aggregators over the years, just be prepared for when that happen. That's how it is.

I prefer to make a spreadsheet than use Anilist or MAL :v, not everything will be in either after all plus I have more control in a spreadsheet

As for keeping hard copies, I like way too much stuff, even just yuri would be a pain in the ass to grab everything I like lol

As for aggregators, main issue is that Mangadex put a lot more effort into organizing series, mangakas, groups and so on, a lot of stuff I would have never found out in other sites, I feel that's one reason people are taking the dmca pretty hard, cause no site is as convenient and well developed
