The MC uses his scouts to find the invading army, and he sends out his champion to talk to them. ( they are on a scout mission after all )
She basically manages to convince the leader to go away, but the young holy knight is being a self-righteous jerkface and attacks her for being of the evil alignment.
She then proceeds to butcher every single one of them together with the dark elves by the MC´s orders.

well, this is pure speculation from me, based on how the story seems to be going but...
I think the MC is going to be a peace-loving person aka your typical doormat until somebody removes that option for him by force.
like... he is probably going to try and have peace talk with anyone who would care to listen, but once you actually attack him he is going to kill every man, woman and child if that is in his best interest.
He seems to be built up to be a "tactical" person who does what he thinks is the best for himself, but is your typical doormat MC because that IS what's best for him as he got better "growth rate" than others and wants more time to grow his empire instead of expanding it by conquest and war because of the risks involved.
( this might change later on in the story if he somehow gets to be stronger, but I find that to be unlikely anytime soon )
That said his people are now evil-aligned and the backstory of the dark elves persecution should help with avoiding the story to only focus on kingdom building.
The other elves are most likely going to come knocking sooner or later to hunt them down eventually, even if the humans fail at it.

@Goldenzeal Honestly I haven't seen him be a doormate yet either, no one had the gall to shit on him yet, he just seem to be a normal guy, throwing food at people who are hungry and stuff. The fact he attacked no one and calmed down his subject going 'Fire and Blood!' is just normal stuff and is kinda needed for his faction since they aren't a faction specialised in war.
I think the old paladin guy is gonna be reasonable but the young one is gonna cause problem.

@Goldenzeal : Since I only can see the last bit of ch 8 on the RAW site :v here's a little more info
After Atou off'd Wendel, she also reveals that she steal memories/powers from her victims, so through killing him she can now wield the holy sword as well as know about Lio's family back home, which she uses to terrify the living shit out of him.

Ah werdel is such a interesting character
it so unfortunate what's about to happen to him such a waste of a good character. I wish the author didn't decide to kill werdel but instead capture him its really a waste

She said it to Lornias, after he tried for a 'everyone scatter, one of you must survive to tell the news!' command and try to fight her only to see her block his strike with Werdel's sword.

possibly, but I still find it strange he wouldn't know about her abilities unless she got new once from being isekai´d...
He used her to win multiple campaigns with her so I just find it odd he would not know the abilities of any of his units...
Champions in general( after all she isn't the only champion he could get ) probably get "experience" or whatever you want to call it from governing. (it's based off an RTS game after all )
Exp from fighting is common RPG stuff, but considering he is playing a nation that basically wants to be left the fuck alone, there probably is a mechanic to get exp without going to war.
in 4X games like that, that experience usually comes for free over time as long as the heroes/leaders are dedicated to leading the cities you own. ( assuming its possible to get exp without fighting )
Heroes of might and magic 7, for example, had a system where you could leave your heroes in charge of cities to get some production/building buffs ( but IIRC they did not get exp from it )

I'm not sure about why you seem to be questioning Ira/MC.
She didn't reveal it to him, she revealed it to her enemy (the native) and the readers.
