Logically the answer was already given to just say yes and you win. I fail to see how no would ever be an option unless you're intentionally trying to deprive your partner.
Remember that thing that had been going on on the Internet of:
"Every Human has to press a Button. If the majority press Red, nobody dies. If the majority press Blue, everyone that presses Red dies."?
There were a LOT of people that chose to press Blue, becuase "There was no risk to press Blue, while you could die if you press Red. Therefore, only idiots would press Red".
There genuinelly are lots of people out there that assume most smart people would press Blue, so they have to press Blue to not die alongside the Idiots.
This is pretty much the basis of the Prisoner's Dilemma.
People will fuck over everyone else because they think that putting themselves at risk not choosing the riskless option is being dumb.
The "Smart" choice being to make others pay the price.
And in this case, that dilemma is pushed even harder by not only having multiple prices to pay, but each time you backstab the other you get a fantastic permanent boon to the rest of your life.
Logically, answering "Yes" and pressing the Red Button is the best choice, is the choice where everyone wins in the end.
But plenty of "Smart" people will answer "No" and press he Blue Button, thinking that is the smart choice.
It was astounding to find how many people firmly believed and defended that choice...
