It occurs to me that he is making all those houses along the way out of local stone and the lumber that he had cut from a forest. I am doubtful that he can stuff all that back into his storage unless he disassembles it first, which would be a bit of a waste of energy. And so I think that he is doing a public service by leaving waystations all along that route. Travelers between the two cities from here on will find convenient housing for them, even without provisions, and such a thing can really be a lifesaver. He should receive a commission from the governments of the two kingdoms for having done such a great thing.
