I wonder what his ratio in terms of sleeping vs staying away from the lake or how much power he can use before he needs to 'recharge' again?
And what might happen if he can't recharge like he did for those 3 years?

I don’t care if he’s a boy or girl (I’m even sorta glad he wasn’t), but I actually thought Yona was a girl here because:
1. The name is the same as a certain red-haired female MC from another manga
2. Bias, as in those situations it’s usually a girl being rescued by a male protagonist.

To be fair, Yona could still be a girl; they're, what, 8-9? That's still an age where children are mostly androgynous.

Japanese also doesn't specify gender unless they're making a point and, presumably, they're using "-sama" or, possibly, "-dono" for Yona, which are both gender neutral, so we don't have confirmation on Yona's gender just yet.

That said, I'd also be glad if Yona was a guy just for the subversion.

I believe Yona is a boy. When reading the description for the manga it does say,

"One day, Nagi is led by a voice calling for help and is summoned by a boy. This encounter will greatly change Nagi's fate..."

And we know that the voice was Yona so...

While I understand that we wanted to jump to the village being developed, I'm kinda bummed about this time skip. I was looking forward to seeing Nagi help raise the children and support everyone. Oh well, guess we'll quickly establish the new status quo. I hope we get to spend some actual time here being going to the next adventure.

It feels a bit weird that they built a house for the guy when they're residing at the lake that is his actual body and where he's meant to sleep. Having an entire mansion for him just feels like yet another step away from what I felt like this manga would be like from its first chapter, oh well.
