This feels less and less like a story with a plot and more like incoherent ramblings about things happening. Like a kid who just keeps adding onto a story to make it sound more exciting but ends up just confusing everyone.

"You see! Nagi died in our world and became the Great Spirit of Water in another world! So he's going to help people out! Like, he saves a dragon who was cursed and some slaves and makes a village! And then he makes a contract with one of the slaves! Oh, and there's some other reincarnators too! One's a sage and the other's a dragon! Ummmm, oh yeah that first Dragon was killed so Nagi is raising that dragon's kid! And there's demons who are brainwashing humans into killing dragons! And there's other great spirits! And now his contractor is a hero who will slay the demon king, did i mention there's a demon king? And the demon king's followers resurrected a Cerberus! That's all I've got so far, what do you think?"

"Uhhh, is there anything to connect those events?"

"Yeah! They happen basically back to back, so of course they're connected."

Could be a result of novel to manga compression but you're probably right.

I just found this manga the other day, and I really like it. It's so heartwarmingly wholesome in so many places, and I love it. Thanks for translating it!

I like the manga. It has its flaws (pacing of characterisation, most of the side characters are props to the MC) but I find it's biggest strength is that the narrative flows like an epic saga (This grand hero did this grand thing and went on to do this grand thing and then went on to do another grand thing).

At this point, Nagi just feels like a tool. Using up all his power to the limit then falling asleep just to wake up and use his power to the limit and falling asleep, just being repetitive. And, It still hasn't been long since he was born as a great spirit, like the great spirit of darkness said. I'm concerned for him. He's unstable, and I'm afraid he'll push himself to the limit during the fight with the demon lord and disappear at the end like a noble sacrifice. I really hope he doesn't disappear. Hell probably sleep for like a hundred years tho and wake up to a kingdom around him and a statue of him by the lake. "The kingdom founded by the great spirit of water" or something
