I swear, every one of these stories has some bs about how no one will kill bandits. It's idiotic. You put yourself at great personal risk to save the life of someone who will just kill again given the oppurtunity. It's also never something that would be done in the medieval setting it supposedly has, unless they were being kept as slaves. Soldiers treated bandits fairly brutally actually, it was a mercy if they only cut off their hands.

Yup. It should be easy enough to claim that murdering those shithead bandits was done in self-defense, but only some stories are willing to do that.
