Possibly or from what I can understand from reading so many WNs, a lot of the authors write from their life. Hence the countless that devolve into in-depth cooking. Using slaves is a quick and easy way to bypass the transition to having the girls love him, because of the authors lack of experience with the opposite sex.

I remember reading one where the author wanted the main girl to fall in love with the mc and couldn’t figure out how because he didn’t know how to associate with girls so he just made her fall for him without reason. Leaving a note saying as much. After receiving feedback from readers he made a slightly less disappointing transition.

Honestly, not the direction I was hoping this would go in. I'm glad the author addressed how most people reacted to the last chapter at the beginning. Also, I was hoping he would buy the slave girl from chapter 1 and that he would have more money from the ability he was clearly foreshadowed to make into a big deal in chapter 1.

One another note, I would love it if we find out she's a Darkness-like character and just has a fetish for being enslaved. That would have made more sense honestly...
