Being a naginata user, Ai-chan can tell you that halberds are really hard to throw. You can't throw them like spears because they're not aerodynamic like spears. You also can't throw them like axes because they're way too long to spin like an axe. All you'd be doing is cause the halberd to fall at your feet.
