Sure it might also be called poultry, beef, seafood, venison, or fucking rocky mountain oysters, it is still meat before the knife of the chef or cook that prepared it for you.

Hells what would you define the flesh of a seal or penguin as? They spend just as much time on land as they do water. Frogs, turtles and other amphibians as well.
