Doesn't matter if it walks the earth, flies the skies, swims in the rivers and seas, or some combination in-between. The flesh of the animal we eat is meat. Sure it might also be called poultry, beef, seafood, venison, or fucking rocky mountain oysters, it is still meat before the knife of the chef or cook that prepared it for you.
Hells what would you define the flesh of a seal or penguin as? They spend just as much time on land as they do water. Frogs, turtles and other amphibians as well. And lets not get started on insects and other invertebrates. But do have to say that if nothing else ,I can think of no better example to disprove your assertion then Crab Meat.
