Isn't this a myth? A study from switzerland said that cutting the stem or pulling it all out does not affect the health of the fungus colony. You would pull the whole stem out if you either want to check certain wild mushrooms if they are the toxic variety or not, or if you plan to transplant the mushrooms to another location.
I was about to say the same. AFAIK it makes no difference for the regrowth whether you cut or twist the mushroom. What matters is that you cover the spot with moss or earth to protect the mycelium from drying out.

This chapter's Sante reminds me of that one time Enkidu descended to the underworld, so Gilgamesh gave him a set of rules that he should not break no matter what, but when he arrived there he just breaks basically every single rule in that list.

Guys I just remembered about how this is our man's last year in this world? I think it does not necessarily mean that he'll die, maybe he'll just go back to earth. If that's the case our bbygorl will till have it rough to keep the restaurant going but at least I don't think he's gonna die for sure (I'm inhaling copium as I speak)

I'm beginning to notice the pattern with most of the chapters. Everyone is framed to have some sort of connection with death, per the theme of the manga itself.

A potential coma in this chapter, the winged goblin's final resting place in the other, the elf Liliush's choice to be around beings where she will have to visit their graves someday, Kyou being embroiled in the new war, O-chan's multiple brushes with dying, etc.

The more I read, the more sobering this manga seems to be. :shamihuh:

Selen was also consigned to death, but is released by Master. Elf is always looking at death, because she is still far from it. Om the demon king will probably be on the gallows, Alchemist works with preventing death. Succubus and werewolf are dead to the society. Gofu traded his happiness for wealth and to be always on the death's door. Only firefighter man and his kid is about life.

Even the firefighter is about risking his life, with a possible unfortunate incident (war-related, maybe) ending his life and leaving his child behind... or worse, the other way around.

I really hope this doesn't happen, but what do I know. The author displays that deep sadness in each chapter that has death.
