This reminds me that Nobu’s taisho does all this work (planning, prepping, cooking) himself and he’s only slightly older than Shotaro, I think. Now Shinobu does help and she has experience in the ryoutei business, so that’s something.
That said the fact that Nobu’s taisho gets it together and only need to worry about improving himself is quite something.
And it’s also interesting that between these two series we get to see the cooks from a gradient of their experience from rookie to intermediate to veteran.
