Some of the comments here could make one forget that it’s based on a novel.

I found and binged this manga during the release of the almost last chapter and this was… well kinda nostalgic.

Reminds me of the mangas of the 2000s +- where you have a quite unassuming premise that then in light speed just escalates into world/universe ending dangers.

Remember the manga where a devil played lawyer for hell to decide which soul goes to hell?
Remember the manga where people turn into monsters when they answer the phone?
Air gear, etc.

And they all had in common that they tried so hard to be philosophical and psychological with their characters, their interactions with their fates and all that.

This basically is inspired by those mangas/stories and then combined it all with a isekai premise.

What a trip.

P.S. @LoliTobrut thank you for your work, I can’t imagine this was easy to translate. When authors try to be deep, the translators become students again trying to interpret poems.

It was really interesting and had quite well implemented developments. I would say, I already had the feeling they were going to pull the plug on this one after the last chapter but for something that felt was cut short, it really feels wrapped up decently well in this final chapter; not the best and you would see how they tried so hard to pack in every last hole they can, but hey, at least we some of the characters' endgame shown too.

I don't think the novel had the same pace, but i could be wrong, maybe someone who read the novel will tell you about it
