After reading about 180 chapters of wn i'm sad to report that the novel is quite bad after around 100 chapters. Would you believe me if I told you that

villains gets more character development than MC's harem

author messed that one.

Now I can understand why they drastically changed almost everything in this manga and now that i've read WN I can definitely agree 100%. IDK if there's a LN right now but if they are going to be adapting this into LN (which I'm sure they will) they'll have more opportunity to polish things up (which is the advantage of LN in the first place i know) and if they continue to polish this then maybe I can read this again in the future (I don't like reading a bread release because it feels like a manga live-service gacha game where you get events every week so I prefer having tons of chapters to binge). This has so much potential so I'm looking forward to it.

That's how it goes. The WN is often little more than a first draft, or close to what a random fanfic would be like. The LN (or manga, which is usually based on the LN version) tends to be much more polished with better pacing and focus on the right things.

Of course, it's not always true, and some LNs try too hard to appeal to everyone and as such just become bland messes that appeal to no one.
