I've been wondering if all the annoying things that had happen to him in his entire life are now all just piled up and got nowhere to dispose of safely? :thonk:

Kinda interesting if somehow someone somewhere trying so hard to open his anger valve and when it open the hazard cannot be stopped until either someone other than the one opening it somehow stopped it or the hazard drained dry.

Of course he directs his frustration from Kayoko to someone else. Man needs to know how to deal with his problems directly. All he needs to do is give her some corrections 💢

Yeah this confirms mc isn’t at fault for childhood friend fault he’s clearly mentally broken from being kidnapped and used as a tool and anime and conventions are some type of coping mechanism

Well at least he wasn't acting arrogant still and how nice of him to let him say hi to his Grandma lol
If you read it a bit more carefully, you can see that Ken is not at all arrogant.

He's been shown during RST that he cares for the people around him, albeit not in a soft manner.

In this encounter i can say that Ken was trying to shoo away the new transfer student who is being suspected of transferring through connection. He knows if the transfer student is a sham, he'll die pretty fast in a dungeon.

MC is not a teen
Hes a 20 something year old demigod
It is impressive you missed the previous explanations of the others.
Physically he is a teen since he got sent back.
Mentally it is vague since we don't have much personal info during his 10 years backstory on the other world. We don't even know his personality that much prior to getting isekai kidnapped as well.
I do get the frustrations with his attitude especially to his Childhood Friend and her mom. Although, we haven't even seen how close he was to them before the start of the story.
But from what I can infer from his current actions, he doesn't seem to value such bonds that well. So maybe, they really weren't that cordial and were just keeping face (very common in JP culture).

The last straw is over anime. Yeah, how is this good character??? I would understand if the last straw was being called coward but anime??? Dunno how people still seeing MC in positive way at all. He is bad character and that flaw isn't funny or good. That kind of flaw is something that will never go from his character. Why? All authors did this and don't expect he grow from that flaw.

Characters that can never grew from their flaws and become their shitty traits instead is more worse than character with normal flaw.

It's weird that it's anime; he's 24-25 years old, supposedly with enough intelligence to explore the stars.

My only hypothesis is that when he returned to being a 9th-grader, his frontal (and prefrontal) cortecis devolved to being 14 years old.
That's really the only thing that even remotely makes sense... amd even then it's not a good reason for his actions.

If it had been, as you said, a personal insult? I could get behind that, maybe.
For me, I am a big lad, and I've always been cautious about hurting others; calling me personally insulting names can upset me, but it has to be something like casually dropping the N-bomb, or real antisemitism, or some other kind of thing that affects all of society for me to get riled up like that, so I know that behavior is possible...
But....

Anime?

Grab a couple gallons of clue-juice, ya dummy; it's a great medium, but it's still an argument over art appreciation!

Get a-hold of yourself, ya dingus!
