I might be OP-MC affected, but I don't like the 70% chicken out. I hope, they gave him around 20% and fooled him with this much into believing they gave 70%. Yet still hey gave in to blackmailing. @sparkylark that really isn't that surprising if you look at the architecture and clothing the story is set close to the early bronze age in say Greece where they often would not wear armor simply because they did not have metal to make armor and instead used what little metal they had for weapons and tools.
