"Correct" and "Incorrect" is not doing the subtlety justice. The two made a very difficult choice and now that they have the opportunity to make amends, they want to. Ruru cannot accept that she was abandoned and does not want to reconcile. MC was also pretty clear in that Ruru gets to decide if she wants to reconcile and that them trying to force the issue is not acceptable.I remember a few chapters back someone was trying to defend the actions of Ruru's parents for leaving her in the forest, glad to see that now my reaction was the correct one based on this chapter. The MC clearly proves that whatever reason they try to justify with themselves, it doesn't change the fact that they abandoned their daughter in the middle of the woods.
Here's the thing, while we know why the parents abandoned her in the forest, we actually don't know how difficult the choice to abandon Ruru was for them, nor do we know how the whole process played out, and personally, until the mangaka/author reveals that whole bit, it cannot be used as a point in any kind of discussion.
