@ae0n Not at all. It's potentially dangerous to turn a whole host of slaves into the pretty much only cavalry they have. If the slaves can actually be made to want to be the cavalry for the country for their own benefit (official freedom) and can trust and respect their commanders, it's excellent. That being said, this is surely something that would only work in fiction. In reality surely the slave cavalry would run with the horses the first chance they got. If they returned to their home country with all the horses, it would be quite glorious for them.

Not really a bet if one side cant lose though. The slave had no info about Rosewald, so he did not know he isn't a normal human (he has a massive advantage from a blessing and all). By all accounts, Rosewald should have lost, but he "cheated" from the beginning by giving his opponent what only appeared to be a fair fight. However, this kind of "cheating" tends tobe overlooked, since it is a good learning opportunity for those who fall for it. To learn that not everyone is always what they appear to be at first glance in a relatively safe environment like this is ideal.

@Kaarme In reality, you shouldn't be giving slaves anything at all since they could easily turn on you. And I don't think the manga mentioned this, but in the WN it was mentioned that "They seem to be easy to control because there is a curse."

@Wolvenworks prior to the war I guess. By 26.1 she joined the battle willingly to help Almus and Rosewood.

I remembered that I dropped novel after ML soldiers killed small children from King Ferme fraction to prevent rebellion even though the mother begged for children’s life.
I’m glad that there was no such a scene in manga. Otherwise, I may drop manga.
