I originally hated the former because of its reliably signaling an inability to spell correctly, but for years, I've heard both used constantly as the characteristic call of fat fetishists. First, you couldn't see a single picture of a shapely--but not fat--girl without a bunch of people going "THICCCCCCC" because they wanted to sound like a certain demographic. Then fat fetishist artists started pushing their taste for obesity, and their fellows started crowing "THICCCCCCC" in response to that as well.
