Am I the only one who thinks the MC is trash? Dude obviously had the power to destroy all those demons the first time he encountered them. Instead he didn't, for whatever fucking reason, and now all those people died for nothing

@pnrunner did you speedread? He used most of his power against a small demon. He said he can't damage them unless he can bypass the evil god aura they have or use so much power he basically can only kill one or two. Or also get the goddess blessing. What I'm confused by right now is if he actually damaged the demons he attacked in this chapter.

It seems kinda nice how all those people find the time and strength to loudly blame the girl while being literally ripped apart by demons. Instead of... you know. Blaming the demons.

An easy tell for me when quality is low is when I start scrolling pages without actually reading what's on them, like with the latter half of this chapter.
The whole trying to make someone despair through words thing is always so lame to me, that and traumatic backstories/flashbacks for characters that aren't the mc or someone of similar importance.

@pnrunner Seeing how even a demon looked at those people with disgust, they are better off dead anyway. Suimei wants to get back to his original world. He has stuff to do there. He was summoned against his will to fight someone else's war. His priority is to get back home and fight his own war.

@dokidoki She's suffering from serious mental trauma from having her country destroyed and all the people she knew slaughtered by the demons, while she alone was ordered to flee.

Just the usual good vs evil setup, demons are always evil, they will never be good and you will never feel bad for them at any point, so i guess just enjoy the trauma that the author likes to inflict on his characters before suimei comes and magics his way out of all their problems.

@KuroAnsatsu She's suffering massively from the survivor syndrome. It's made even worse by her background of having been brought up from a small child to believe her job is to fight the demons whenever they attack and guard the citizens of her country. Yet when the demons actually attacked, she couldn't save anyone, they were all killed, whereas she was told to flee on her own at any cost. She would have been much happier fighting to the death, dying alongside her countrymen in the battle against the demon. I doubt she really saw these scumbags of the caravan for what they really were and was in fact reliving the destruction of her home country.
