Just read it on their website. Not sure why there's a wait when this should have been done awhile ago.

Thanks anyways.

At this point I am convinced that there's a manual for isekai, a Codex Isekai if you will, regarded as holy scripture from which any deviation is considered both heretic and punishable with death.

And in the warp a billion mouths whisper, "just as planned".

I remember reading this and stopping after running out of chapters, is the manga caught up with the anime?
Edit: @xddman Thx for the feedback

@Carnage - it's not abuse; they did the work they can do whatever they want with the release. That being said: "how to not get me to ever visit your website 101." I'd rather just drop this then put up with time-gated b.s. It hurts no one for them to release it and they can care less if they lose readers on 3rd party distro sites so really, what's the goal here?

If it was just a day or two, sure, I guess. But two weeks? Ha!

Also, I really don't think that "they did the work they can do whatever they want with the release" was ever a reasonable justification.
Being some sort of content creator doesn't exactly render you immune to criticism.

@Carnage Oh no one said you can't criticize them for it, but they still did all the work to get it translated/cleaned/redrawn and uploaded. They have every right to control how they release it to the public. This doesn't mean the public has to agree with them, but that doesn't matter- the content creator holds the key to the safe of goodies. Personally I'm just going to read this on another site; so they're driving traffic away from Mangadex AND they're ruffling feathers of the fans. So I ask again, what's the goal here?
Also - check out their release schedule for all their projects. Almost all of them are time-gated.

@Carnage can still view it at their website, some group had their manga exclusive to discord or need to download in rar file despite the delay, i say champion scan perform nicely with their website, can view it like normal manga website

afterall somehow the team need some money to incentive to keep scanlating on time

well that my take on the issue, i had always try to support the scanlator through anymean except donation, i dont have credit card to do that and setting up paypal seem like a huge hassle

I'm not going to respond to all of that, but the reason I called it "abuse" is because I think this abuses goodwill.
The delay system being a form of goodwill by MD. People being patient enough to either wait it out or visit the scanlators homepage instead of, you know, just starting to read most of their gated follows on another aggregator, being another.

@Blastoutmaria
No shit this doesn't actually affect my life. That doesn't mean I can't have thoughts on the matter.
Which is why I originally just left a casual remark and moved on again.

@malik1412
Well, if that's what makes you happy, good on you.

@Carnage: This is actually normal for scanlator groups, not just Champion Scans. The idea is to visit their website for traffic (which is one form of income for the groups. Without the income needed, they would lack the resources needed causing the group to fold) before releasing it to the world at large. The sole difference between MangaDex and the other scanlation pages is that it actually gives a timer when the page is given permission to be released.

I get why you think its an abuse of goodwill, but personally I think of it as a timer of when the scanlation group releases their works to the public at large, but you can get an early sneak peek by vising their page. Kinda like a Patreon system, but without spending any money (normally). Just trying to help you put a positive spin on it, man. Take it for what its worth.
