Ugh, another one of those with stupid natives without any decent desserts. Yeah they just serve giant sugar cube, while being competent with other dishes.
I guess it just one of everpresent tropes, not sure why it ticked me off so much

She should have just refuse to join the music club upright.

It's the same problem as her wanting to refuse being the princess's lady.

Can it be done? Yes.
Can it be done with no issue? Maybe, but just to avoid the risk it's better to go with her whim.
Even if the princess herself somehow allow it, the annoying jealous people around will certainly not shut up about it.

That said
blurting out how to get sea salt without knowing the country only has ever used rock salt?

That's on her for digging herself into that project.

Using magic to increase the princess' blood circulation and wake her sounds incredibly dangerous. The sort of thing that can cause brain hemorrhage.

I thought that she was just freshening her up with a clean up spell, which would be so refreshing as to get the princess out of bed.

Using the definition of a salon here is interesting because the term in the context of a hair salon is derived from the first definition as a gathering place.

A salon would be a room in which people were gathered, invited by a host or hostess, for discussions, to hear a speaker, and somewhat to contend with their ideas. The philosophers of the Enlightenment were called "Salon Philosophers" without denigration. A woman who hosted a regular salon would presumably always be on the lookout for original thinkers to invite, in order to keep the gatherings lively. She may even run into, say, a photographer in the street and invite them to speak of their craft and science, introducing the new technique to high society.

Any time a person says, unironically:
"I have to solve everything by myself"
That person is already walking down the road of mental illness.
I cannot see why anybody would think this a virtue; the o ly superpower humanity has is cooperation.

That's why the Salon was used, as noted in this comment⬇️⬇️
