I personally think it’s about how much magical energy they have that determines if they can take a humanoid form or not. We were already told that Riche was extremely weak and on the verge of disappearing, so I assume he’s not able to take a humanoid form because of the lack of magical energy. However, if I’m correct in my assumption then Riche should be able to take a humanoid form sometime in the near future, he’s able to move on his own now and get exercise via playing so I don’t think it would be too much longer until we see his humanoid form
