I feel like everyone who's complaining is missing just how blatant the name match from last chapter's cliffhanger is.

though this is mostly an issue in world design or somethimes rpg's want you to remember a specific person by keeping their names unique. but in general, there should always be a couple more people with the same name around...

He just told them he was summoned in this chapter.
I think the idea is that they found MC was too weird, so when dropped this bombshell during a game, it wasn't exactly surprising.


As for where they're going, the discussion started from ch 28.
Basically MC wanted to avoid the 3 gold rank adventurers.
As for why, it's probably because back in ch 17/18, MC saved those 3 + his friends.
Also in ch 20/21, MC and his friend talked about how he wanted to avoid them so they wouldn't know about the fact that MC could see spirits.

Having reread this whole thing, this does still seem to come out of nowhere...but it's really not surprising that they accepted his identity so fast, either. Like...Jean has been behaving like someone who stumbled out of another world pretty much the whole time they've known him. Or at least since he started to get comfortable around them/living in close proximity. They just haven't been asking why, possibly due to his skill that keeps him from being discovered, thought about, or talked about too much, or maybe just out of respect. If he didn't have that skill, I suspect he'd be in deep trouble.

This whole chapters feels like an afterthought. Like it was a bad idea which they just forgot to erase from existence.
MC has been very careful about his true identity so far, because he hates the thought of his sister finding him in that world.

Someone could think that him telling others about him being from another world, was a very stupid thing (me included), because that only adds to the odds of his sister finding out about his existence..

They are right. MC mentally "immature", e.g. naive, gullible, stupid. There was no advantage for him to tell them he was summoned to that world. He only puts himself at risk by doing that. What an idiot this guy is. It's like this protagonist lacks common sense, even from a modern perspective.

The lack of a reaction seems reasonable, to some extent, the fact that it isn't discussed at all—merely breezed past as if him being summoned were already part of established facts among the group, with not even a cursory "oh, I see, that explains a lot" from anyone—implies to me that something really got screwed up somewhere.

At the end of the day, somebody in this conversation—whether his buddies, or the protagonist himself at their lack of reaction—should have at least raised an eyebrow. It's almost as if the adaptation accidentally skipped a reveal scene and found itself not sure what to do with itself?

Honestly feels like this manga has skipped a lot of stuff. First was with the Dinoso family, then now with him telling them he's from another world.

This chapter made no sense. Suddenly he's talking like they all know he was summoned.

This was so badly written, I thought it was a dream sequence.

They're playing poker, a game from our world, but everyone there is proficient? Fine, maybe introduced by a previously summoned hero, but why does the deck look like a professionally printed deck, as if it was directly imported from earth?

They're drawing absurdly rare hands, all in the same round? Including the rarest of all, the royal flush?!

And, of course, what everyone's already mentioned: they completely skipped whatever conversation they had when he told them that yes, he was one of those summoned with the heroes. This CANNOT be news to them at this point, they cannot all have zero reaction to this bombshell, no matter how suspicious they were of his origin before.

But even FURTHER! They're saying "but who could the changeling be?!", to which he asserts "the younger brother"...and then they wonder what relation he, the fourth summonee, has to the rest...maybe that younger brother he mentioned? That he knows for certain is the changeling? Nobody connects the dots?

Then, as DeepBlu pointed out above, there's the Dinoso family...papa is famous enough he has to change his name to go into hiding, but his wife, "Ice Queen Shiva" is famous enough to be instantly recognized by name as well, but leaves her name in the open?

Ugh...I'm curious how the story goes, but not enough to put up with all these jarring jumps and wtf moments.
