?????
But how do they cure a baby then if stroking its body doesn't work?
This would have made more sense if they just needed a lot of skin contact rather than sex.
The orignal translation actually makes more sense with a change of proposition. "To treat magic intoxication, you have to familarized with the one who casted magic on you. The other translation doesn't make sense for sex to happen. Not unless somehow semen is imbued with the magic of the person.
Or what, skin to skin contact is just not enough so let's put some more of my skin inside you? Lmao
Oof, this quickly went into a very cliche route with the "I need to have sex to save you / imbue you with my energy" trope lol. I'm still enjoying this (and the art is gorgeous) but that whole setup felt a bit goofy.
Well, at least there was consent. And he didn't immediately misunderstand why a dude was on top of his half naked form. Though, that would understandably be a smoking gun most times
I love how he woke up the next day, didn't freak out about, you know, being fucked by a guy, but the fact that he is late for work? That's something to freak out about!!!
What's the redacted supposed to mean...? I'm caught up to the novel and Sei only does it with his new grumpy caretaker knight lol.
@jellybones I guess, hugging the baby? More skin contact basically...for Sei though, he got wombo combo'd with the drug overdose/addiction + bad lifestyle, and then the overdose on super strong healing magic. Even heavy skin contact wouldn't be fast enough so I guess sexy times is the magic equivalent of pumping the contents of a person's stomach when they overdose on medicine, lol.
That's actually the reason why I had to put the note at the very end because that one line was rephrased by me again in qc stage (it was actually shaping pretty fugly in the typeset)
so uh, strange logic to help acclimatize. im assuming for babies, skin to skin contact will do. but for overdosing adults with no magical experience, they will need... sex?
