It's more that they went from "ancient dragons fighting" to "arm wrestling (presumed in human form)". They'd been hyped up by the idea of watching two dragons fighting, so changing it to just regular arm wrestling was lame by comparison. now in dragon form doing the arm wrestling? Enough of a novelty and close enough to "ancient dragons fighting for dominance" that they could appreciate it.

It’s always hilarious to see a typo next to its correct spelling on the same page. Immediately tells you that even the typesetter isn’t paying attention at all to something so embarrassingly obvious.

And the proofreader who should have caught that is even worse. He had that one job.
