Not at all, the mushroom flavour intensifies in the hotpot (tofu, mountain greens and root veg please! I know ppl love their meat, but this is one of those vegan meal that's stupid tasty) and also makes the broth really rich and savoury (all those all natural MSG at work).

We already met a few poor sods that tried to pick a fight with Taijuu Village. They died or ended up submitting themselves to the Village Chief and became members of the village.
There was the Iron Forest Wyvern. Got killed and got turned into dinner.
Lastimoon and Graffaloon tried to pick a fight in a jealous rage. If t wasn't for Doraimu stopping Lasti and Zabuton yanking Graffaloon out of the way, they would have been ran through with the AFT. Graffaloon basically offered up Lasti to the VC.
Hakuren in a jealously of Lasti getting a man before her. She got shot down with the AFT.
There was the Princess Yuri and her faction got beaten up and captured by the Lamia. The Princess's faction got turned into the Civil Servant Girls.
The Kirbit and her faction got beaten up and captured by the Inferno Wolves and the spiders. She lost her contingent of Harpies to the VC.
There are a few others but that's further into the story and we haven't gotten there yet.
I think there was a country that tried to kidnap one of Hakuren's kids and the dragons retaliated by staging a coup and blowing up their royal palace with a breath attack. I remember some merchant group tried picking a fight by kidnapping Tia's daughter, Tizel. I think Tizel ended up taking control over that group.
I mean even as the “village head”, other than having Ru or Tia strongarm ppl into obeying, they might not necessarily listen if he’s like “don’t test it out on walls” but surely there are other “political” ppl stop them so mc doesn’t micromanage every activity they get up to , altho I doubt there’s other ppl having territory in this death forest outside of the demon king?(or was that in a separate plane/realm?)
A lot of credits page asks for donations tho idk if anyone’s funding them, tho they’re not as bad as the manhua (Korean webtoons) strips that paywall lock chapters and having a lot of pop ups in their site tho I only ever read Lh’s stuff here since it gets updated pretty quickly as well rather than like a month or two of waiting

Of course, but LH is pretty well known for just pumping out a bunch of low quality stuff. Like it's one thing to see a group put real care into their work, and then mention they have a donation link if you want to help them. It's another to work on like a dozen series at once, do a slapdash job on everything, and beg for donations multiple times every chapter for years on end. Since groups tend to give each other space, I probably don't have a choice if LH happens to be the one to pick something up, but I'm never thrilled about it.

Those siege weapons are more of a novelty than practical though, since they already have overwhelming firepower from the air: the angels dive bombs and the dragons
Think of it in modern terms... we have nuclear-capable strategic bombers, 5th (and soon 6th) fighter jets, fast movers/interceptors, satellite overwatch, unmanned systems... the list goes on. BUT, we still use HIMARS, M270s, PULS, BM-30s and a f*ckton of other ranged precision strike hardware. I believe Taijuu Village can easily find a way to complement the catapults, angels armed to the teeth with nuke-sticks & ancient dragons... we're just missing someone brave (read: idiotic) enough to pick a fight with them.
