Man, I find it funny that every time he tries something to make his life better, it actually makes it worst. ?

He's more or less akin to a deity now, so of course people would defer to him for pretty much anything. Especially trying to spawn his successor.
What he need isn't men, that would still not solve his problem, what he needs is men of similar power and influence as himself. And I don't think there's any in the whole world... maybe his kid?

Also, maybe he should try to find a way to reduce his work in the fields. I know that all he wants to do is farm, but at this rate, he'll become nothing more than a tilling machine.

Decent guys should help somewhat. Girls can dream of the Prince Charming riding a white horse, but not all will ever catch one. They will have to settle for ordinary men. Alternatively they would grow old alone dreaming of something they will never get. That said, naturally it would be the best if actually interesting and capable dudes appeared. The MC could use a bunch of male friends. They wouldn't be real buddies if they looked up to him and treated him only cordially, so they would need some high level special skills to have confidence.
