Based on Volume 3 cover art, she has purplish skin. So different rather than darker.
Hmm, looking back on that image the color isnt really that much to write home about. Especially given the context that the people of this world arent reacting to her skin tone at all. Thinking about it, it could have been an interesting avenue to explore if it was more purple and thus associated with demon skin color or something. Yet its never been brought up before in anyway so it feels odd to suddenly have it talked about.

I mean neither is her comment anything to continue to write home about either, especially given that you now know she's talking about being purple, not dark.

Naoto is an isekai protag, not a person of this world, so that doesn't apply to him. If you look at it from his perspective, of course purple is gonna be different for him. Doesn't feel weird at all for her to bring that up. It might be something she had in the back of her mind and never asked him about until now, now that things have finally cooled down. It's entirely possible that her relationship has slowly been changing with him such that she's starting to care more about what he thinks of her. What does Naoto say? "Nah, not really." And that's the end of that. I didn't find it weird at all. It was just a passing question that made perfect sense given Naoto's origin that was quickly answered as being a non-issue. It's really not that deep.
