Did Ojisan do something in the end? He tried, but did it work or it was all Mabel?

He was trying to cast something before Hydra fired it's laser of death (probably not making it in time) but was saved by Mabel.

I agree. Some cool stuff is happening, but the artstyle is really way too messy to actualyl follow the action. And the mages being dragons in some panels, then suddenly depicted as humans with claws in the next without explanation why, is not helping.

If they were to fully dragonize they'd just fly off and act like actual dragons for a few months. Like Ojisan did.

Kinda hard to tell by the art, but I like to think all the knights did the Gaijin 4koma reactions at the end there.

For anyone saying that this chapter is hard to follow, i think that is intentional. It's a messy and desperate fight to begin with, add to that everybody is too busy trying to make themself the hero while pushing everyone else down instead of cooperating together, so it felt like there is an inconsistency whenever the perspective shifted from one character to the next.

1 - Oji-san has a set back;
2 - New faction appears trying to sound as if they are the ultimate offensive (they aren't);
3 - Enters Mabel and her OP skill.

2.1.1- Dragon girl member gets trashed.
2.1.2- Dragon squad tries to protect their members.
2.2- Poison dragon tries to melt the Dragon Squad.
2.3- Ojisan tries to get back up and make himself useful (he fails)
