I already knew that kimchi is a fermented cabbage, but I was still surprised by how sour it is when I first taste it. While I still can't handle eating a bowl of just kimchi due to that sourness, I do like it when paired with other things like in this one.

I do love myself some sour kimchi but if you make some yourself, you can have it less sour. Just ferment it for a short time or even just eat it right away. It great no matter how long you ferment it.

I'm getting the faint idea that she's not very impressed with the chitto pot.

Humans actually developed the ability to smell fermented food because it was a way to keep things edible. It might have been the first way to cook food, even before fire, but it's so ancient we just don't know.

I don't really like burning hot food. Or drinks. I think that detracts from the taste.
