Since it's been a while, I decided to binge-read from the start and wow, comparing the art in chapter 1 and this is like day and night. There's barely any backgrounds, what little that is there is very simple, every page only has like one or two panels, and the character art looks rough too.
I wonder what happened to the artist.

Definitely was thinking the story has kinda lost itself too. Kinda feels like the story is disconnected in a way now, like the plot points have little to do with each other and it's more a food of the week(kinda like a monster of the week) rather than a story.

Since this is an adaptation of a novel and I don't know what the original was like, I kind of gave the adaptation the benefit of the doubt being that the OG novel might have been a bit sloppy to begin with. Even when published officially, novels that originally started as webnovels sometimes didn't get rewritten all that much (to not anger the OG fans maybe?).
