@Qelix I'm assuming they're working under the premise that people won't be able to replicate Asuta's recipe, so as long as he only gets meat from the people of the forest, other people who can't make it taste good won't have a reason to hunt it. Probably not very realistic, but this is a world where nobody was able to figure it out before, so who knows. It could also go the other route of them keeping the meat contents of Asuta's food secret, so nobody knows it's giba, but the people of the forest profit from the stall anyway.

@Salfaro: Nice ideas to try to make that work, but I can't believe that will fly. He might have one or two tricks up in his sleeves, but even if he has a CocaCola/KFC-level secret recipe, when he is grilling it openly at a stall, it won't take a lot of time to reverse engineer a recipe, close enough to make it work. Short time profit, followed by their doom. Just like in RL.
And if he's trying to keep it a secret, that it is giba meat, they will accuse the tribes of hunting other prey.

I know they need money, but he should come up with some other unique recipe of for example a tasty japanese/western bread/roll. Working with that giba meat is just too dangerous.

I believe it's the next plot device though. "Oh no! What have I done? Now I somehow have to save them." Something along those lines.

@Qelix Yeah, just depends on how realistically you want to treat the intelligence of the people in this world, since in isekai (and anime in general tbh) people get turned into idiots pretty quick if it's for the sake of making the MC seem like a genius or have a great idea. I just more meant that was what I assume the in-universe explanation could be for it, when the plan doesn't immediately come crashing down.

Amen. I concure with you and @TrueGoddessReincarnation. Makes those isekai in which that isn't the case (not too obvious the case) more precious.

@Qelix You don't have to have CIA level security, just don't fo your prep work in the open. If all you're doing is frying a meat patty, slopping on some gravy and adding a slab of unleavaned bread, tgen no kne know shit about how you made it. That anyone who challenges you on your ingredients can be show what goes into it keeps you a lot safer than most modern restaurants that buy all their ingredients from suppliers. Theres a reason table-to-plate restaurants do bangin' business.
