This is without a doubt one of my favourite mangas right now. Sad to see it go, but happy for every chapter I get to enjoy!

Sucks that this ended at chapter 34... that means that we are probably going to end with the office lady returning home and some hackneyed "read the light novel" ending with how the pacing usually is.

To be fair, I did lose a lot of interest when it turned out that he wasn't just traveling between worlds but jumping randomly along the timeline as well. From the sounds of it so far it also sounds like the author didn't have the ability to hold it together well themselves by putting that type of twist in.

I mean, I guess we have that "Welcome to Japan Ms. Elf" manga that kinda does it, but this series easily could have just been him picking up/saving random girls and them traveling with him too and from Japan with the car, cat girl, loli mage, and more. Instead we only got a "glimpse" at his "future" with the cat girl with everyone using fake names to not mess with the timeline. Lots of wasted potential personally.

I hate to burst the bubble, but the WN sat untouched from 2019 to 2023 years before being revived and finished. The author wrote eight arcs, stopped writing, then came back to write one last arc (plus epilogue)

We are midway through arc eight.
I am not optimistic about the pacing of the last arc.

Does arc eight start with Chapter 23 and driving the CEO to the event, or Chapter 25 with the date research trip?
If the former, I could guess at there being three/five more chapters to deal with this arc, with a cliffhanger at this volume's end. This would leave the story with just three more chapters to wrap things up, worst case scenario.
...Not terrible, all things considered, the axe can be far more abrupt and merciless than that at times.

And hey, if the later, I'd guess at an arc 8 end by volume's end and a whole volume to wrap things up. And if we're being optimistic there, let's hope they put that extra volume to good use while we're at it too.

Dang that really sucks. But how are we already through 8 arcs? We had the cat girl arc, the loli arc, the camping trip, the loli in the real world arc, the coworker in fantasy land arc, and now MILF arc. I only counted 6 and this was with generous subdivisions.

That's double sad, because 1) story ending too soon and clumsily and 2) no Jyuumonji bikini.

Gotta say she's taking the other world phenomenon like a champ. His other coworker was an otaku who understood the tropes. Unless Jyuumonji was big into 12 kingdoms back in the day, I'd expect her to have 10 billion questions starting with "wtf?!" before moving into specifics.

honestly, I feel like this is a more realistic depiction of how someone would react in this situation. Like definitely shocked at first, but especially with someone who seems used to it I'd just be like "well screw it then, let's just plop logic to the side for a moment and have some fun!!"
