You know how it is, if it's not some cookie cutter wish fulfillment OP MC where a harem of girls throw themselves at his feet or cooking that show the supremacy of Japanese culture over every other it's not worth more than 30 chapters.
Don't forget getting kicked out of the hero party because the MC was worthless, but it turns out he was actually the strongest for lame, poorly-written reasons.
What put me off is when the MC said "I realized that I actually wasn't better than everyone and I was distancing myself because I didn't want to put myself to the test (again) and face reality."
SIGH, Really?
If you want me to read your work...
FIRST you must acknowledge that I AM better than everyone, I just don't want to show it because they aren't worth my effort.
SECOND you must orchestrate events so that I can show my supremacy in a way that doesn't make me look petty or as if I really had to put a lot of effort into showing my great potential that they all foolishly overlooked simply because I refused to interact properly or compete tasks sufficiently.
THIRD you MUST make them suffer and regret ever doubting me just because of my words and my actions that they had observed during my entire life until my glorious reveal.
The ones that I will be having sex with can be forgiven much faster (only if they have never known another man in a way that could tarnish my ego) than the ones I do not desire carnally.
Was this author a rookie or something?
Better luck next time.
