- Frame and slide point to older than Gen 3
- Grips narrow it down to "not Gen 1" (so probably Gen 2)
- Lack of pins and markings muddy the identification fairly substantially but the shape and size rule out at least the 19, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 32, 33, 36, 38, 39, 40, 42, 43, 45 and 48 (all of which are compacts, subcompacts, slimlines or long slides, which, either he has baby hands and can barely hold a compact, or it's a standard)
- Lack of fire selector rules out the 18
Leaving us with :
- 17, 20, 21, 22
- (anything after this is very unlikely considering the timeframe but not impossible) 31, 34, 35
- (anything beyond this is probably a modeling error, as, to my knowledge, none were made as Gen 2s) 37 and 41.
The first 4 would be chambered in 9mm, 10mm, .45 ACP and .40 S&W respectively,
the next 3 would be in .357 Sig, 9mm and .40 S&W respectively,
and the last 2 would be in .45 GAP and .45 ACP respectively.
.45 GAP is a super niche round and .357 Sig is just a crappier 9mm, so that's a soft rule-out for the 31 and the 37.
That's as far as I can narrow it down. On a side note, I don't know what that armor is made of so I can't really compare it to known ballistics, but seeing as it chipped and
broke instead of slightly bending inwards before letting the bullet through like most armor-grade metals would, and with how thick it seems, it might unironically be some sort of ceramic, lol.
