if you consider the fact that 3.1 is the worst-rated manga on the entire website.
Nah, you're fine.
This is honestly better than most 4 / 10 and you are only rating it as such because of your disappointment/biases or because you don´t know just how bad the really bad once get.

if not for the extreme level of inconsistency, deus ex machina ass pulls and an MC whose moral compass of none killing contradicts his personality and backstory this might have actually been a really good manga.

This manga is a perfect example of a good idea and brainstorming.
But with poor execution and writing.

Some extra screentime ( or less if you wanted them to be throw away characters ) would have done this story good.
The villains who die are honestly more impressive than the "hurr durr I'm evil because I love you" arch-villain antagonists.
Would have loved to see more of the multi-armed lady and the crazy chimaera girl even if it all ends up with an "Akame Ga Kill" moment in the end...
As it stands it only barely manage to make you feel bad for the side characters but you never get to actually care for any of the characters who mather like the MC and his girlfriend.
And ofc, asspull power up technics like the fusion that has never been hinted at is never a good thing unless it's supposed to be a surprise for the characters themselves...

I've legitimately completely forgotten what the entire story of this manga was about, I need to do a re-read.

Random note: People should use "JP"...don't use "Jap" because that's just straight out racist, lol. (It legitimately doesn't matter that it's short for "Japanese" or "Japan"...that term has a long history with being used in a racist way, so...yea. JP is 2 letters and is much shorter/easier to type, so just be lazy and use that instead!)
