Two....hmm, what's the catch for our OP protagonist? :thonk:

I'm thinking the more monster friends he takes care of, the more spells he can learn. Because 2 chickens = 2 spells? Just a guess.
The catch is that he's already immune to poison and can spread that to others. That's effectively 4 spells and he's still a child. Probably has more monster related gimmicks.

I'd say the image quality on this chapter is kind of blurred than usual (compared to chap 2), like the text in the bubble chat for example a little bit blurred.

Wrong kind of editing process maybe?

Correct!! The raws for this chapter for whatever reason I couldn't find seemed to be lower resolution than normal our editor tried his best to improve the resolution but to no end.
I apologize if this has impacted your reading experience!

For me, the artist really make this one more appealing to read.
A mixed showcase of both nurture & nature. They are generally well behaved because of how Otaka has raised them...but also still have a compulsion to peck!

I see, but the type-setting alone is kind of blurry too. So usually the drawing art might be a bit blurred, but the text in the type-setting should be in crisp quality?

Funny to see that Shiro isn't tsundere enough to ask for a hug when Otoka wakes up, but too tsundere for a second hug. xD

It's a little unfortunate that the small text isn't translated as well. A lot of times it's kinda superfluous, so it's not a big deal, but there are some interesting pieces of information scattered here and there.

Just a couple of notes for people who might find it interesting:
On page 4, Otoka figures Kuro might've gotten a bit dirty when she was eating the day before.
On page 6 it mentions that the church does appraisals for 8yo kids and he also mentions that day is tomorrow. That's why he asked Shiro and Kuro to come on the trip, as he explains in the small text that he'll have to stay there overnight. (The panel of them camping on page 14 makes that clear, but apparently I was too slow to notice that at first...)
Page 7 mentions the names of the eldest and second eldest brothers; Inaga (which was mentioned in chapter 2) and Niina respectively.
Page 11 has Molly praising the cockatrices, but admits he used to be scared of them before. It's nice to see other people's perceptions change about the cockatrices.

I already see people mentioned spells tied to tamed monsters and possible chapter cut before the priest finished talking.
The one that came to my mind was their check only handles two digits so anything past 99 won't appear correctly.

I knos it's not because Japanese idioms, but two-dozen sounds like a reasonable cliffhanger.

I'm betting he can store spells in his item box, letting him have infinite but only two at a time.

After seeing the sort of comfy feeling that the first two chapters and the manga description, having this switch to the trope of kids getting appraised at some age and the MC getting a terrible appraisal... This trope doesn't really seem to fit.

Just his innate passives: poison immunity, disease immunity, passive lending, is already world breaking. Dude could literally go around the world performing miracles with lay on hands. The chicks always being healthy is an useful clue. He hugs them every days and cleanse them of any internal problems they might have accumulated.
But it's an isekai story so im sure he'd eventually be omnipotent effortlessly.
