@happybro I never seen the novel but I can give my own guess.

Looking at boar anatomy and how [Rock Spear] hit it, I think some of the rock fragments are stuck inside the body then causes some internal bleeding and sap it's HP as debuff. Or maybe I should say that it's how bleeding normally works. 😂

Where to hit a metal lizard?

1: Its back? (It is the widest area of the body. NO FUCKING WAY was its armor the smallest. Quite on the contrary. This was dumb)
2: Its belly? (Would be a really good choice, as real lizards scales are VERY THIN in their bellies, actually. It is just hard to hit there)
3: Inside its mouth? (Needs precise timing and it is riskier, but would NOT damage the metal skin AND has no metal scales to defend)

Should have been option 3 and the fact that he went with option 1 and succeeded was kind of stupid and he had enough power with that attack to hit it head on and destroy any part of the lizard's body, if it was strong enough to strike through his back, which would actually have the strongest armor.

@GGCannon : In his defense, he's still new to this world and despite his absurd stats he seem to be working with the same rules as everyone else (10 MP/s charging, etc)

So without knowing how the magic will turn out, he choose the 'safe' option of fully charging it + go for an attack that while it might not be the 'weak spot', it's also the least likely to get him killed.

If he try to go for the belly...well, clearly the lizard would be wary of that.
The mouth...if he fails he dies, and in the worst case the body might still keep the momentum and slam into him, also ded.

I don't get the logic behind the weakest part of the armor, the back is the weak point because its the part that rarely gets hit? That's a weird reasoning, isn't the armor at the back the strongest due to the fact its the least damaged part and looks like the thickest part of the metal lizard's armor?

Anyways, he pretty much brute forced it with his magic and even made a hole in the lizard's stomach. It would've been more believable if he attacked from top because he wanted to crush the lizard instead of potentially blowing the lizard away if he attacked it head on.

He could have used any kind of magic tbh. Putting 9k mana in fireball would have melt him, 9k mana in a rock speak would have pierced him with some kind of high-speed diamond-like spear or whatever. Also why not hit the belly or the eyes?
