If i understood correct he tried to turn the feeling of Pain "ON" ?
If so i can understand why he would do that, while i myself wouldn't want to feel pain
Someone who lived his whole life once already might want to feel pain to "feel" alive again.

@sincross7723 No, it's never been on at all. He can't feel pain or be hurt by anything in this world because of the game settings he had when he died. I guess that one of the nurses that helped set up his game had turned those settings off since he was already old a sickly as to avoid anything wrong happening to him while he was connected.
