Weren't the ones being ignored Aria and Alanna? Rosa and her mother got along just fine with Adonis, who didn't ignore them at all. Rosa getting the love and attention of Adonis is one of the things Aria resents from Rosa and her mother -- because those are the very things Aria and her mother never had.
Yeah that just means that she was successful in what she set herself to do. Her mom brought her to Adonis and his first words were who was the brat. Her goal from then on was to be better then Aria. To be loved more then Aria. To gain the attention. She succeeded. Till this point she thought that her work was useful. It was wasted effort.
Was it really a waste? For 4 years, she was at the top of the world . For 4 years, she had all the love and attention from her mother and father. The perfect family. Do you really think all those feelings and memories suddenly go away? Rosa's mother gave her those very things. To suddenly turn on the person that gave her basically everything feels wrong.
Those memories are tainted. Gotta remember she used this as a way to be a nobel also. It was more then just her dad's love. Her since of self was also tied up it. Her believing she was a nobel was a way to be something different then what those commoner children chided her as. She lost that too.
Even if she had ulterior motives, those memories and feelings were still genuine. Remember, she didn't know her mother lied about Aria's mother. Everything she experienced as a noble was completely real. That is something that does not suddenly go away the moment you find out it was based on a lie.
Why are you so quick to forgive her actions, she was just as awful as her mother
