Also the prince went from silly and cute to awful in just one chapter....Oscar gets my praise for clearly sideeying the man for wanting to marry a ten year old though. Only good man in that trio it seems.

Soooo as creepy as the age gap is, I do think the prince kinda has a point here. The people LOVED Alanna with the one dude calling her something like a fairy princess. They truly cared for her, were devastated by her death, and then had to suffer under her “cruel“ husband. Of course they’d be thrilled if her daughter took over and of course they’d royal family wouldn’t want someone else marrying aria just to steal the land for themselves (considering how wildly important it is for national defense) so a prince taking on that role makes sense...even if this dude is way too into Aria’s mom
